Internet Safety Day
Tue 09 Feb 2021💻Internet Safety Day💻
Â
Today is Internet Safety Day and in the current climate, with more screen time being used than ever, it is important for all adults to understand how to keep our children safe online.
Â
This year's theme is "An Internet We Can Trust" and we invite you to check out the E-Safety section of our website to refresh your understanding of safe internet use.
Â
https://www.shakespeare.plymouth.sch.uk/internet-and-e-safety-2/
Â
At the bottom of the page, you can find a section tailored for adults and one for children.
Â
Take some time today to talk to your child about being safe online. You could try asking them some of the following questions:
Â
📱What are the age restrictions for some of the most popular apps?
📱Show me how to report and block unwanted behaviour?
📱Do you understand that deleted messages can be recovered?
📱Why must you not give out any personal information online?
📱What makes a secure password?
Â
If you would like to know more about staying safe online and can't find the topic in our resources, pop a comment below and we will try and help you.
Â
Be vigilant and stay safe!

*Important News for Year 4 Parents and Carers*
Mon 08 Feb 2021We can confirm a positive case has been reported to us today in line with the Track and Trace guidelines. As a result, we have informed the parents and carers of the children in Year 4, who have attended the school setting on Friday 5th February, of their need to self-isolate.Â
Â
The children will be invited to join their friends for remote learning sessions via Zoom. Details will have been provided with the learning packs and via email. If you have any issues connecting to the sessions, please contact Miss Hodges via email - carly.hodges@spsplymouth.org
Â
The school's policy of operating in distinct bubbles means we can clarify that all other year groups, including Breakfast Club and The Bards After School Club remain unaffected.Â
Â
If you have any questions and your child is in Year 4, please contact the school on 01752 312048 or via email admin@spsplymouth.org
