Admissions
If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
In the term, prior to starting school, a meeting is arranged to allow parents and children to visit the school, to meet staff and discuss relevant matters with the reception Class Teachers and Senior Leaders. Further visits (pop in and play) are also arranged when children spend time in class with the foundation teacher. We will also arrange a home visit, so that your child’s teacher can meet him / her in familiar surroundings. You will be informed of the dates and times.
Children will be part time for approximately the first two weeks. We follow Plymouth guidelines on admissions. Please read your welcome pack carefully, as this will include details of days and times specific for your child in their first few weeks at school.
Circumstances sometimes occur when, in the interests of the children already in school, it may be necessary to defer the admission of new entrants until they are of statutory age.
All admissions to school, including Foundation, must go through the Local Authority Admissions Team. Your child’s pre-school can help you with the process of applying for a school place; however it is essential that you ensure that all deadlines set by the Local Authority are strictly adhered to.
All children leave this school and proceed to Secondary education at the end of their educational year 6. Leavers are allocated to Selective or Comprehensive schools, depending upon the results they achieve in the selection procedure and parent's wishes.
We are designated as a feeder school for All Saints Academy, Plymouth.
