Government Announcement- School Closure
Mon 04 Jan 20214th January 2021
Dear parents and carers,
My apologies for the lateness of this communication.
Following the recent government announcement this evening, Shakespeare Primary School will remain closed until further notice.
We will be providing access to education for pupils in school, whose parents or carers are classed as critical workers (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision#critical-workers). If you were able to access this provision during Lockdown 1.0, you are more than likely to be able to access this again this time around. Please attend school as usual tomorrow morning.
For our pupils, now learning from home, your teacher will be in contact with you tomorrow morning with further information.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Karen Menis
Head teacher

*Important Covid 19 Update - Year 2 Parents and Carers*
Mon 23 Nov 2020We can confirm a positive case of Covid-19 within Year 2 has been reported to us today in line with track and trace guidelines.
As a result, we have informed the parents and carers of the children in Year 2 (and associated breakfast club bubble) of their need to self-isolate.
The school’s policy of operating in distinct bubbles means we can clarify that all other year groups remain unaffected.
We understand hearing this news may cause questions and concerns and we are happy to address those directly via email (admin@spsymouth.org) or by telephone on (01752) 312048.
Please be reassured that if there is any news that affects your child’s year group directly, we will contact you and that the safety of our children and staff remains our top priority.
Many thanks. ❤️
