SAFEGUARDING and CHILD PROTECTION
The welfare, wellbeing and safety of our pupils are the main consideration of staff within the school. It is the school’s duty to report to Children’s Social Care any incidents or concerns to ensure the safety of pupils or share such information with other agencies. We trust that parents will see this as a positive course of action and not one meant to cause upset or difficulty for any family concerned. CARA Our school is part of the CARA project, which is run between all Plymouth schools and the Devon and Cornwall Police. It has been designed to provide early reporting of any domestic violence incidents that occur outside school, which might have an impact on a child in school. This is done via secure e-mail to the school following an incident, in confidence. In this way, we aim to support each child who has been involved in or witnessed, a domestic abuse incident. The Key adults are Miss Courtney Lobban (Head of School), Mrs Tania Chapman (Safeguarding Lead) and Mr Cameron Lancaster (Executive Headteacher). If a CARA contact is received, the Key Adults will make sure that a person the child trusts is available to help – if the child needs this. Most of the time we do nothing, except keep a careful eye on him or her and make sure the child has a positive day in school. Allegations against staff and volunteers. The School will manage all allegations against staff and/or volunteers in accordance with the agreed South West Child Procedures (www.swcpp.org.uk) and has a nominated ‘Designated Person’ (Miss Courtney Lobban) who will liaise with the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) on all matters of concern. If you are concerned about the behaviour of an adult in school towards children, please contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead: Miss Courtney Lobban or the Designated Governor for Safeguarding: Mr Tim Smith via the school.
Before and after school:

Please do not allow your children to ride bikes or scooters on the school site at any time.
Please do not bring dogs onto the school premises.
