Safety in the playground
Before and after school:
Parents/carers are responsible for children in playground before the bell rings unless the child attended breakfast club and then the breakfast club staff are there for them.
Please do not allow your children to ride bikes or scooters once in the playground at the beginning or end of the school day.
Please do not bring dogs onto the school premises ever.
The Internet Safety Team
The Internet Safety Team is lead by Mrs T Skingle and supported by Mrs Menis and Mr Norton. The document below identifies further staff that may be involved if internet safety incidents occur in school or are identified by pupils. At Shakespeare we work hard to ensure every child is safe whilst using any Computing equipment. This begins with ensuring the equipment is safe to use, is not broken, and all cables are kept to a minimum. From Year 1 the children are taught to collect and carry the equipment carefully around school. They confidently use laptops and other computing equipment well.
Equally, we work hard to ensure that when children are when logged onto the Internet they are safe. Children have filtered access to the Internet but most importantly are taught what to do if they see anything inappropriate. During our work on Internet Safety each class creates their own Internet Safety Charter that is on display in their classroom.
We also like to hear that children are safe using the Internet at home. Often children separate the advice they are given at school from the games they play or other reasons why they use the Internet at home. To support you we have added some links below that will support your Internet Safety at home.
