There was an autumnal feel to Year One learning in October.
The children enjoyed a visit to the “virtual” zoo and they took inspiration from the nature around them to write autumn poems.
In writing, they used story maps to plan their tale of Jack and The Beanstalk and rainbow writing to brighten up a rainy day.
They learnt about the senses and went on a sensory walk. Making the most of the outdoor space, a treasure hunt was also enjoyed.
PE with Dan from YMCA is always enjoyed and the treat of film afternoon from Friends of Shakespeare was much appreciated.
Well done Year 1!
