Top Three Priorities (I.C.E)
Improving

Embedding
The new LAT designed Curriculum and change in leadership personnel and systems of leadership.
The Learning Academies Trust Curriculum is the vehicle in which we teach the knowledge and skills of all subject areas. This curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of 'Shakespeare learners'. Teachers take the responsibility of driving the curriculum at Shakespeare to ensure that the specific needs of our learners are met.
Learning Academies Trust (LAT) Curriculum
At Shakespeare, we believe our curriculum should provide all of our children with a solid foundation of key knowledge that encourages, inspires and supports them to achieve and exceed their potential. Over the past three years, teachers and leaders from Shakespeare have worked collaboratively with colleagues across the LAT to develop a curriculum (in line with the National Curriculum) which suits the needs of all of our children and aims to support the development of their long-term learning and memory.
The LAT Curriculum is grounded by key subject drivers: History, Geography, Science, Maths and English. In addition, each term, staff deliver topics which take deep dives into specific subjects. This includes: Design Technology and Art. These subjects are carefully mapped across the year and are partnered with others that allow enhanced opportunities for the development of knowledge and skills. The table below models how the curriculum is organised.
PLEASE NOTE- Our LAT Curriculum complies with our duties in the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 about making our curriculum accessible for those with disabilities or special educational needs. Further information can be found within our Curriculum Explained document along with our Equality Policy and SEND information document.
