The Three Little Pigs

Our new unit for English is fairytales. We are learning the story ‘The Three Little Pigs’. The children did an amazing job working in groups to retell the story. In a few weeks time they will be writing their own version of the story and changing the characters!
Black History Month

Look at our amazing posters all about Katherine Johnson!
Music

The children have loved using the instruments in Music this week. We worked in two different groups, one group led and did the pulse and the other group completed the rhythm of the song.
RE day

During RE we learnt all about weddings! We had lots of laughter when we pretended to have some wedding ceremonies.

Get writing!

The children are doing such fantastic writing. They are trying really hard to remember their capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.
Greater than and less than

The children have worked so hard this week at comparing numbers by using the greater than or less than symbol.
Part whole model

This week we introduced the children to the part whole model.
In Art this week we looked at the paintings of Alma Brown, an African American artist. She loved bright colours and making people happy. We used foam stamps and paints to make prints in her style. What shapes can you spot in our paintings?
Numbots

The children loved having a try at Numbots today. The children’s logins are in their reading record so they can have a try at home.
