Children from Shakespeare Primary School took part in the Plymouth Library Service summer reading challenge called Animal Detectives. Each child had to read six books over the five weeks holiday and earn stickers by successfully discussing the book with a member of the library service staff. Reading is such an enriching activity, supporting the growth of vocabulary which reflects in your children's oracy and written work. It feeds the imagination and helps the children write and think in a creative manner.
We are deilghted to celebrate the news that 33 children from Shakespeare completed the full challenge and were presented with their certificates during assembly.
Well done everyone, we are very proud of you!
