During Empty Classroom Day, Year 6 investigated wind direction in and around the school and whether physical features affected the direction. They did this by blowing bubbles and tracing its journey around the school. They noticed that in the open areas, the bubbles mainly travelled to the North East. They worked this out by using a compass. They also noticed that the closer they were to the school, the less distance the bubbles travelled. They concluded that the building was blocking the wind and therefore had less power to carry the bubbles.
