Whilst half the year group were at Grenville House, the remain Year 6 children were treated to some fun activities.
They had a visit from author, Tom Palmer who talked about his life and his journey into being a published author. He exclusively shared his new book cover with the class. Some of his books are themed around World War One and World War Two which linked nicely to our theme.
The children also took extracts of Tom’s book, The Armistice Runner, to create their own poems called The Blackout Poem.
Members of the Theatre Royal Plymouth joined the children for a puppet making session where the children each made a gingerbread man. This activity seemed to prove very popular with both children and staff.
