On Monday 12th June, 6R had a great day out on Dartmoor led by David Glenny. They started their trek from the car park at Bellever Forest and hiked to the base of Bellever Tor. Here they were shown an ancient way point believed to be an iron age grave. The children then turned away from the Tor and walked to the remains of an iron age settlement.
Next, all the children motored up the Tor to enjoy lunch at the top with breathtaking views across Dartmoor. After a slow descent to the forest, everyone hopped into the river to enjoy a splashingly good time before returning home.
It was lovely to see the children enjoy their surroundings and running around in the open space.
